October update
Running:
Seonaigh Conchie wins the women’s crater rim 28km off road race.
Adrienne Smith and Natasha Douglas flew over to compete with 50,00 odd other runners at the big 2014 New York marathon. After the slow start due to the massive crowds they both had great runs and are having a fantastic trip.
Multisport:
Sam Bell and his team mate win the Pass to Pub by a smashing 5minute gap on the next team.
Last weekend was the annual frostbuster multisport events. Sam also won the the 8.5km Run-32km Ride-2km Run duathlon by a massive 11mins.
Mt Biking:
At this year’s McLeans Island 6/12hr Mt Biking event, PT Systems had a large contingent of riders racing and doing extremely well.
In the 6hr event, Mike Smart and Ben Hopewell teamed up to place second in the open men’s.
Sharon Prutton and Glenda Ryan won the women’s team.
James Mander and Marc Prutton won the corporate team section.
Dan Collis and his team mates placed third in the mixed teams.
Brad Hudson won the overall 6hr day/nighter.
Sam Bell, Tessa Jenkins and their Hub team mates, both came second in their 12hr races.
Along with Chris Bridges, Anne Morgan, Chloe Jenkins, Brooke Hudson and Jared Pidcock all ripping some great laps, having a blast.
Road Cycling:
After Five days of racing and covering 600+kms, Mike Smart finish the 5 passes cycling tour with his was homestyle team mates Tim, Dean and big hitter Dave Nixon.
Jeremy Heathfield finishes fourth overall in the 45yr+, taking a couple stage wins along the way. His team mate Scott Molina won the overall.
Jo Forbes and Rob Harlow did the Ronald McDonald foundation proud finishing strong and making the charity some well earn money. David Burnett did well in the D grade.
Seonaigh Conchie placed 3rd in the 160km Source to Sea road race from St Arnard to Westport.
