Welcome back to PT Systems for another year!
Triathlon:
On the third weekend of January Wanaka hosted another years fantastic Ironman event. With 1600 competitors, supporters and spectators buzzing around the atmosphere was awesome.
In the half distance we had The woods girls family team of Laura, Margaret and Emily coming in sixth place out of 75 teams in the female team category.
In the mixed teams Darren, Marc Prutton and Natasha Douglas rolled in 5th place out of 116 teams.
And doing the individual half distant event of 1.9km swim / 90km Ride / 21km Run, Dean Cameron and Carey Wood both had solid races finishing in respectable times.
Seonaigh Conchie did the full hog 3.8km swim / 180km Bike / 42km Run in 11.35, winning her age group.

Running:
Seonaigh Conchie wins the women’s crater rim 28km off road race.
Adrienne Smith and Natasha Douglas flew over to compete with 50,00 odd other runners at the big 2014 New York marathon. (more…)
A big month for bike racers with the commencement of the new Track cycling season, the week night Time trials and short road races and beginning of the 2013-14 mountain bike season .

Fionn Cullinane wins the annual Ashburton to Christchurch classic. Two weeks after placing second in the annual Geoff Inwood cup handicap race.
